What did they need assistance with?
Mr and Mrs Naylor did not have any central heating in their property and were using expensive electric heaters to heat the rooms. They also had no loft insulation so their two storey flat was extremely cold in winter.
What service could we offer them?
After we completed a home visit, they received a free gas connection and qualified for npower’s Health Through Warmth free boiler scheme – we have a direct referral stream with npower and completed an application on their behalf.
In addition, they also benefited from the following Healthy Housing Services:

- FREE loft insulation
Savings
- At full cost, the loft insulation, gas connection and new central heating system would have cost £300, £600 and £4,518 respectively adding up to a total cost of £5,418. Because of their circumstances, they received all measures completely free of charge.
