About the role

An exciting opportunity to join NEP as the Development and Training Coordinator and contribute to the success of the Healthy Housing Service.

Essential to this role is experience in project management, peer to peer networking with the ability to influence and widen the profile of the service alongside enthusiasm. Ideally you will have substantial experience working within the domestic energy sector and a track record of providing training, workshops and guidance.

Nottingham Energy Partnership (NEP) is a Queens Award winning charity for Enterprise in Sustainable Development, the highest accolade for a UK business.  We are always looking for energetic, motivated individuals to join our affordable warmth team.

As the Development and Training Coordinator you will work strategically with key agencies in the public, private and voluntary sector to develop and promote an effective referral mechanism and single point of contact for staff, residents and community groups to access a range of primarily energy saving services to help vulnerable client groups tackle fuel poverty issues and reduce their carbon emissions.

You will manage and be part of a busy, target-focused and supportive team training front line staff about the importance of tackling fuel poverty, delivering energy saving workshops for community groups as well as home visits for those most in need.  You will oversee the administrative requirements of the team including the management of both inbound and outbound advice calls, supporting clients and providing them with independent and impartial quality advice about how to save energy and money and essentially enhance the householder’s knowledge and understanding of the energy markets.

  • Do you have good leadership and project development skills?
  • Are you performance driven and do you have the ability to organise both
     yourself and a team?
  • Do you want to join an organisation that exists to have a positive impact
    on people’s lives?
  • Are you up to date with current domestic energy policy and sustainability issues?
  • Do you have an eye for detail, data and analysis?

If you can answer ‘YES’ to the five questions above, then we would like to hear from you.
