Building Repairs

We do more than just energy surveys. We have a skilled team of accredited tradesman (builders, electricians, plumbers and joiners) who deliver general building repairs, to schedule and to the highest quality. NEPes’ Contracts Manager, Darren Barker oversees all jobs as standard.

An example of a recent job, contracted by Nottingham City Council’s Environmental Health Team, was to rebuild a wall in between two terrace streets in Sneinton, Nottingham.

The 10.5 meter wall was becoming a danger to surrounding houses. The top 2.5 meters had collapsed due to tree roots pushing through the brick work causing the structure to be very unstable.

Retrofitting your buildings

As well as recommending what energy efficiency improvements would be suitable for your site, we are also accredited to install them. We can retrofit your building(s) to new energy efficiency heights! Improvements include solid wall insulation, underfloor insulation, LED lighting and renewable technologies i.e. solar PV and solar PV battery storage.

We install solid wall insulation on a regular basis. This insulation system can be installed to the inside, or the outside of a building. Once installed it allows the building to retain it’s heat more effectively, allowing you to reduce the amount of time the heating is on for and also the temperature at which it’s set.

The outcome: lower heating bills and a reduction to your carbon emissions.

Our Contracts Manager has over 25 years’ experience in building surveying and project management. In the past five years we have project managed the install of solid wall insulation to over 600 private homes with accompanying measures; LED lighting and heating upgrades.

We now have the capacity to provide quotes and carry out work for non-domestic energy improvements so do consider us if you are thinking about making that next step to a greener, more sustainable building.
