Whilst the government have been providing financial support for energy bills, you may be eligible for additional services that can help manage other financial challenges.

NEP are here to advise you on how to maximise your income and lower your outgoings. Keep reading to find out about the additional support available.

Services we can help you with

  • This Government grant scheme means that gas and electricity companies are obligated to fit ECO measures, if you are eligible, you could receive financial support from your supplierind out more here. Find out more here.

  • If you are struggling to afford the essentials, we can source food bank vouchers for you, ensuring that you’re not cutting fundamental corners during these difficult times.

  • We can offer support with applications for benefits, as well as hardship funds and crisis grants. Now more than ever, it is important that you are claiming the benefits that you are entitled to, as it could increase your income as well as opt you in to schemes that the Government are rolling out.

  • If you’re eligible, we can register you for the PSR, a free service that offers priority support in emergencies, such as power cuts. It ensures that your energy provider knows that you somebody in your household is vulnerable, and offers a range of targeted support, such as a nominee scheme where you can elect someone trusted, such as your carer, to receive bills from your supplier.

  • offers a bill reduction to any Severn Trent customer with a household income below £22,010– offering up to 70% off your water bill. To save you time during the application process and to ensure that things run smoothly, we can complete the application on your behalf.

Services from other organisations

  • Social tariffs are cheaper broadband and phone packages for people claiming Universal Credit, Pension Credit and some other benefits. Prices range from £10-£20 and you can switch free of charge. As the Cost-of-Living rises, more companies are offering social tariffs so that people can stay connected at a reduced cost. Find the organisations that can help here.

  • If you are struggling with your credit score and finding it difficult to get a bank account, you could get a ‘basic bank account’. They are fee-free and remove the risk of unintended overdrafts, making it easier to manage your finances. They are available through all mainstream banks. For more information, click here.

  • Getting your Covid-19 vaccinations remains important, even if you’ve previously had Covid-19.
