Solar PV Panels

Solar Photovoltaic (PV) panels convert energy from the sun into electricity by means of PV cells. Most domestic PV systems are installed on roofs, so if your roof is suitable you can generate your own electricity to use in your home.

PV’s generate electricity in the daytime so appliances should be run then to make the most of the electricity. Excess electricity generated goes back into the mains grid and is paid for at a lower rate by your electricity company.
