Future-Fit Homes, Mary’s Story

NEP, alongside Meadows Ozone Energy Services (Mozes), are leading the Green Meadows community climate action project.

Funded by the National Lottery Climate Action Fund (CAF), the project aims to equip the people of the Meadows with the knowledge, skills, and support to engage effectively against Climate Change.

One of our core projects at Green Meadows is the Future-Fit Homes scheme. Here, our energy efficiency specialists provide free bespoke assessments of local properties to give advice on helping homes get future-fit..

The aim is to help residents save money on energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient, tackling Climate Change at community level in the process.

With the help of CAF, we have produced a short video featuring Meadows resident Mary, a retired counsellor who received a Future-Fit assessment from our team member Mark.

Check out the video below.

Mary believes this kind of tailored, community level advice can help reduce stress at a time when both energy bills and climate anxiety are on the rise.
